  • Scrapping Single Use Plastic

    Bedford Borough Council has announced it aims to become a ‘single-use’ plastic-free Council by the end of 2020.

    Single-use plastics are only used once before they are thrown away and because they are plastic, they take a long time to break down. This includes things such as plastic cups, cutlery, straws and bottles.

    This week, the Bedford Borough Community Safety Partnership will be running a ‘Week of Action’ in the Midland Road and Tavistock Street areas.
