Bedford’s Big High Street Showcase took place on the 2nd June, 2018 along High Street, Mill Street and in the Arcade bringing in the largest footfall of any Saturday so far this year.
Over 40 different businesses and local organisation traded outside on the day with many offering services and goods at special event prices.
Further attractions included children’s entertainment such as face painting, a climbing wall and funfair rides. The Lady K stage welcomed local talent on its stage featuring choirs, bands, soloists & dancing.
Mayor Dave Hodgson said: “The High Street Showcase is intended to promote the town centre and our brilliant local traders, so it’s great news that it attracted the largest Saturday footfall of the year. Thanks to all the groups and volunteers who took part, and to everyone who came along to support their town centre and enjoy the attractions.”
