  • Online admissions now open!

    Bedford Borough Council’s online admissions systems is now open to all parents and carers whose children are due to transfer to secondary or upper school in September 2019.

    Parents who live within the Borough who have a child in year 6 at primary school or year 8 at a middle school will need to transfer their child to a secondary school or upper school in September 2019.   • Over 7,500 sign up for Council’s LibraryPlus Membership

    Over 7,500 people have signed up to become members of Bedford Borough Council's LibraryPlus scheme which gives increased access to council libraries.

    In September last year Bedford Borough’s libraries started working in a whole new way with the start of self-service hours through LibraryPlus at Bedford Central, Bromham and Wootton Libraries.

  • 30hr Funded Childcare for 3 and 4 year olds across the Borough

    From September 2017, 30 hours funded childcare has been available for eligible 3 and 4 year olds. 1,337 children across Bedford Borough currently have access to 30 hours childcare, the highest number in the region.
