Central Government has asked all Councils to prepare a Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP) to help deliver the active travel agenda and plan for funding over the next ten years.

Through a tender process, Bedford Borough Council has commissioned Systra to help prepare Bedford’s LCWIP. Part of their commission is to produce an evidence base of existing travel behaviour, and what measures might lead to people undertaking more local walking and cycling journeys.

Telephone surveys

An established and efficient way to do this is through a telephone survey.

Systra will be using JTL Research to seek the views of 300 respondents who will be representative of Bedford Borough’s population.

The telephone survey will begin on 23 May 2022 and will last around two weeks.
