Bedford Borough Council is preparing Forest of Marston Vale Development Design Guidance jointly with Central Bedfordshire Council and the Forest of Marston Vale. The document will be adopted as Supplementary Planning Guidance (SPD).

The Development Design Guidance will set out how the development planning polices for the Forest of Marston Vale will be implemented, as set out in the Bedford Borough Council and Central Bedfordshire Council Local Plans. 

Developing in the Forest of Marston Vale – Draft SPD Consultation

The consultation will run for six weeks from Wednesday 15 June 2022 to 10am on Thursday 28 July 2022. The Developing in the Forest of Marston Vale SPD covers both Bedford Borough and Central Bedfordshire. This is a joint consultation which is being hosted on the Central Bedfordshire Council online portal.

Copies of the documents will be available to view at the Customer Service Centre and all borough (and Central Bedfordshire) libraries during normal opening hours. Copies of the document are also available on request by contacting localplan@centralbedfordshire.gov.uk or by calling 0300 300 8307.

Comments should be submitted using Central Bedfordshire Council’s planning consultation portal.

Following the close of the consultation, responses will be analysed and taken into consideration when finalising the document. It is anticipated that the SPD will be adopted by each authority towards the end of 2022.
