The Higgins Bedford is a Bedford Borough Council run cultural service that celebrates the inspiring stories of local people, encourages a sense of place for Bedford and the surrounding area, and showcases outstanding and varied collections.

The museum is free to visit and is open Tuesday to Saturday 11am-5pm, and Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays 2pm-5pm.

The art gallery and museum has permanent displays of archaeology, social history, drawings, paintings, prints and decorative arts as well as a busy programme of:
