Coronavirus (COVID-19)

While the government has removed remaining restrictions in England, we are asking residents to exercise caution and common sense to help stop the spread of the virus and protect our community, family and friends.

There are still steps you can take to reduce the risk of catching and spreading COVID-19:

You can read all the guidance and can stay up to date with the latest COVID-19 government announcements at www.gov.uk/coronavirus.

Vaccinations

It is really important that everyone who is eligible gets vaccinated as soon as possible. Anyone aged 12 or over can book their vaccine appointments online through the national booking system or by phoning 119. Various walk in sites are also available

You can find out more about booking a COVID-19 booster vaccine here.

COVID-19 testing

Most people are no longer eligible for free symptomatic or asymptomatic testing, and local test sites at the Faraday Community Centre, Mowsbury Park and Prebend Street are now closed. See information on who can still access free COVID-19 tests and how to get them.

Self-isolating

While you’re no longer required by law to self-isolate if you have COVID-19, you should still stay at home and avoid contact with other people. This helps reduce the chance of passing COVID-19 on to others.
