Do you want to have fun, meet other children and young people and make a difference?
If you want to get involved - join the Children in Care Council!
The CiCC is a youth club which meets every month.
You'll take part in fun activities, find out what other children and young people think and make changes to improve the lives of children and young people in care.
Food and refreshments are always provided.
What will you do?
- Meet new people and make new friends with other children and young people who are in care and learn new skills.
- Have fun and take part in lots of activities, trips, visits and residential stays like:
- going to the zoo
- arts and crafts
- sports
- cooking
- going to the cinema
- climbing
- Have your say. Share your views, experiences and ideas and help us make things better for children and young people in care.
- Ask questions. Meet managers and workers, ask lots of questions and find out what they do for you.
- Help others. Make a difference to the lives of children and young people in care and help us arrange and organise events like the LAC Celebration and our activities.
The Children in Care Council (CiCC) aims to improve the lives of children and young people in the care of Bedford Borough Council by:
- campaigning on their behalf
- creating projects and events for them
- working together with Bedford Borough Council and the Corporate Parenting Partnership Group
All sessions are currently being held ‘virtually’ via video conferencing platforms.
