Step into the world of John Bunyan when you visit this 15th century timber-framed market hall, set on the village green in the centre of the delightful village of Elstow.
Originally built to serve Elstow Abbey as a market house, Moot Hall features beautiful period furniture and has exhibits illustrating the life and traditions of 17th century England.
Opening times
Saturday from Easter (or beginning of April), to the end of October: from 1pm to 4pm.
Bank Holiday Mondays from 1pm to 4pm.
Casual visitors; If the curator is available, he may open the Hall on request – see details on the noticeboard on Elstow Green.

Admission is free but, if you enjoy your visit, please leave a donation.

Location: Moot Hall, Church End, Elstow, Bedford, MK42 9XT. As you enter Church End, Moot Hall is almost immediately on the right
Disabled access
Access to the upper floor is by stairs or stair lift. There are ancient timbers set into the ground floor, making some areas difficult to access for wheelchair users.

Hiring Moot Hall and/or Elstow Green: Moot Hall is available to hire for small private functions, training sessions, meetings, paranormal investigations etc. For more details, visit the Moot Hall website . The Green may also be hired for some larger functions. Both are available for hire for corporate events and as film locations.
