Government guidance suggests that it is good practice to conduct a Community Governance Review every 10-15 years.
A Community Governance Review is a review of parishes and other arrangements by which communities can be represented and through which they can engage.
The main aims of a review are to secure future arrangements that:
- reflect the identities and interests of the communities in the area; and
- are effective and convenient
The most recent community governance review took place in 2017.
